I have found so many great recipes that include short cuts using already prepared ingredients or store bought items like mixes. When it’s simpler to make, it all just taste better! Also, sometimes, there’s just not enough time in the day. It is what it is.
I like to buy extra cake mixes when they go on sale and chocolate is one of my favorites, so I always have admittedly too many in my pantry at any given time. This recipe is for a Wonderful Whoopie Cake that is simple and delicious for when you want something a little more than just a simple chocolate cake. It includes ingredients like a cake mix, marsh mellow fluff and an easy to make ganache that is just SO tasty.
Here’s what you need:
1/2 box Devil’s Food Cake mix
1/2 c. water
6 tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
2 eggs
1/2 c. unsalted butter, softened
1 c. confectioners’ sugar
1 (7.5-oz) jar Marshmallow Fluff
1 tsp. vanilla extract
pinch of salt
1 1/2 c. chocolate chips
3/4 c. heavy cream
