When you make this recipe for Toffee Blondies with Whiskey-Caramel Sauce, you have to make the caramel sauce first. You need to make sure you FOLLOW DIRECTIONS carefully, when the sauce is being made, DO NOT STIR. When the sauce is a dark amber color, that’s when you remove it from the heat. The blondies are ready to be baked, 1/3 of the sauce goes over the top of mixture…bake… cool for an hour. Drizzle another 1/3 of sauce over the cooked bars and let stand for 30 minutes.
