My family makes chicken wings a few times a month, it is one of our favorite meals of all time. Wings really are the perfect snack/appetizer/meal… you can really have them any time.
I was searching for great chicken recipes when I came upon this recipe for a Slow Cooker Thai Sweet Chili Chicken Wing dish that looked amazing. First things first, I noticed that you actually use a slow cooker. I’ve made wings every way imaginable over the years, but I have NEVER even considered using a slow cooker before. It might take considerably longer than normal, but the meat will just fall off the bone and make a one-of-a-kind wing with exquisite taste and texture. In other words, I just HAD to try this out!
The recipe is very simple and using the slow cooker fills your house with mouth watering aromas all day long. You may notice that the recipe calls for fish sauce in it’s ingredients, this is an item that is used in Thai food regularly. It can be found in most stores in their Asian foods section. You will want to give these wings a try because they will delight you and your whole family. It’s a different way to eat chicken wings that you will want to make again and again.
Here’s what you need:
5 pounds chicken drummettes
1 1/2 cups Thai Sweet Chili Sauce
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 tablespoon fish sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
