Barbecue ribs, I bet, are a favorite for many of you. I’ve cooked them on the grill before, but I end up standing there worried that I’m not cooking them well enough or that I’ll burn them. When the weather is hot my crock pot stays on top of my kitchen counter. If I could use it everyday I would. Some of the best meals I have ever made were cooked in a crock pot while I went about my day.
I came across this great recipe for barbecue ribs not long ago, and I feel like I should share it with all of you. It allows me to use my favorite barbecue sauce so it was a no brainer, I had to try it. I’m so happy I did, this meal has become a family favorite! It takes about 8 hours to cook, but it’s such an easy recipe that allows you to go about your day while your house fills with an incredible aroma. The smell alone makes it worth your time, trust me!
Here’s what you need:
3 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
6 pounds baby back ribs, back membrane removed, cut into sections to fit the slow cooker
2 large yellow onions, sliced
1 cup water
1 (40-ounce) bottle barbecue sauce (your favorite)
You can add any sides to go with your ribs, usually mashed potatoes and corn on the cob are our favorites with this meal. The meat just falls off the bone (a MUST when it comes to good ribs!) and has such a great flavor, you’ll love it!
I’d like to thank the Brown Eyed Baker for this fantastic recipe. If you wanna try your hand at making the best ribs recipe I’ve ever made, be sure to head over to the Brown Eyed Baker now for the full instructions. Enjoy!
