This Steak Sandwich with Onions, Camembert, Fried Egg and Chimichurri is for everyone that wants to eat a steak sandwich that has a fried egg put on top… which probably isn’t many of you—until NOW, that is!
There is no doubt about it, this is one hell of a delicious sandwich! One of the ingredients on this sandwich is CHIMICHURRI, and I never heard of that, let alone knew how to make CHIMICHURRI, but it’s pretty easy and it’s just spices…who knew!!
To make this steak sandwich the first time you have to read the directions carefully, but after that is should be easier to make. I hope that you’ll enjoy it!!
Here’s what you’ll need:
For the Chimichurri
2 bunch fresh cilantro
½ bunch fresh Italian parsley
½ bunch fresh oregano
3 clove garlic
½ white onion
1 Fresno pepper
⅓ c. Extra virgin olive oil
kosher salt
½ c. white vinegar
For the Sandwiches
Extra virgin olive oil
1 Spanish onion
kosher salt
Pinch of crushed red pepper
2 10-ounce filet mignons
4 Kaiser rolls
½ lb. Camembert
4 large eggs
You start off by sautéing the onions and season to your taste. You then cook the steak in a really hot pan. This sandwich is very tasty when done…you have to broil the roll…put the onions, steak and chimichurri on sandwich…broil the cheese on top of sandwich…crack the eggs in the pan to fry them up…then place on top of sandwich. Just make sure you have PLENTY OF NAPKINS ON HAND, because you’ll need them.
When this sandwich is ready to be eaten, you’ll see what all the fuss was about when you take your first bite.
