I’ve had blueberry and peach cobbler before, but Rachel, The Stay at Home Chef, makes this perfect Old Fashioned Homemade Cobbler with blackberries and strawberries, which is a good combination. One thing I like about cobbler is that they are so simple and easy to make. Just last week my husband had bought these blackberries that were so sweet…and delicious. That’s what you need in a cobbler…SWEET BERRIES!! Thank you Rachel this cobbler is fantastic!!
Here is what you’ll need to make Old-Fashioned Homemade Cobbler:
3 pounds fresh berries, cleaned and sliced
1 lemon, zested and juiced
2 teaspoons cornstarch
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
⅓ cup white sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup cold butter, diced
1 cup half and half
I can’t wait to try this for myself! Cobbler is one of my guilty pleasures… not that there’s really anything to be guilty about! For the full instructions, check out the Stay At Home Chef now. Enjoy!
