I’m a lover of all things hamburgers. Finding recipes for new ways to make a burger makes my day. I love to try new recipes that add variety to my cooking experiences, and this recipe for Mac & Cheese Burger Sliders certainly qualifies!
Sliders are the new(ish) burger craze and this recipe is for one of the best sliders I have had in a while. Forget about White Castle! The coolest thing about these sliders is that you don’t use any bread. Instead of bread you make macaroni and cheese patties that replace your roll and they are incredibly delicious. Ya know what? you could even forget the burger completely and chow down on that and you’d be totally fine! But that’s not why you’re here.
The macaroni and cheese buns are simple to make. You do have to weight them down and cool them to form a roll that will stay put. You also coat them with bread crumb mixture which adds to the bun makeover. Add your burger (of your choice) and you have a new and tasty lunch that everyone will love!
Here’s what you need:
8 oz elbow macaroni
1/4 cup flour
3 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cup cheddar cheese
16 oz ground beef
Salt
Pepper
Onion powder
Lettuce
Tomatoes
Bacon
Sliced cheese
BBQ sauce
