I was spending the night searching for dinner recipes and I came across this one that I think is just genius. A recipe for an Italian sub, but, get this– made in the oven! WHAT?!
I love eating subs and an Italian sub is usually my first choice, but either way, I always eat them cold, well not anymore! I found this Italian delight filled with turkey, ham, salami and cheese that warms my heart and fills my stomach. It is so easy to make and only about 40 minutes in the oven.
You’re going to need some crescent rolls for this recipe. They are one staple I always buy extra of when I shop, so I got plenty of them lying around. Keeping packages of crescent rolls is always a great idea for when you need to make a quick but easy dinner.
Here’s what you need:
1 (8-ounce) container refrigerated crescent rolls
8 slices deli turkey (about 1/2 pound)
8 slices deli ham (about 1/2 pound)
12 slices deli hard salami (about 1/2 pound)
8 slices Swiss cheese (about 1/2 pound)
1 (12-ounce) jar roasted peppers, drained
4 eggs, beaten
I can’t wait to try this out. I hope my family likes it as much as I do! I’d like to give a special thanks to Mr. Food Test Kitchen for this fabulous recipe. I’ll be making this real soon! I hope you all do the same! Be sure to head over to Mr. Food Test Kitchen no for the full instructions. Enjoy!
