There is nothing better than turning on your grill EVERY night of the summer (if it’s raining, then we use the broiler). You can have steak, chicken, hot dogs, sausage…whatever you want!! Lyndsay Wells and Taste of Home have this recipe, “Grilled Steak Salad with Tomatoes & Avocado” which is great. I love steak on the BBQ and this recipe has 2 types of beans, chopped green onion, lemon juice, avocado and seasonings…and I can’t wait to make this dish.
Here is what you’ll need to make Grilled Steak Salad with Tomatoes & Avocado:
1 beef top sirloin steak (1-1/4 inches thick and 1-1/2 pounds)
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 teaspoons Creole seasoning
2 large tomatoes, chopped
1 can (15 ounces) white kidney or cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (15 ounces) black beans, rinsed and drained
3 green onions, chopped
1/4 cup minced fresh cilantro
2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 medium ripe avocado, peeled and cubed (1/2 inch)
Steak is great and all, but you always need some greens to go along with it. Now instead of making a side dish, you can get everything you need in just one handy recipe! For the full instructions, head over to Taste of Home now. Enjoy!
