Well, I’m on a popsicles crusade thanks to this heat, so just today I found this recipe for Fresh Fruit Rainbow Popsicles that really caught my eye, I thought you would love to have this recipe as well.

Each layer of fruit that goes in each of the pops has its own recipe and process , before being combined; red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and magenta. They come out (after they are frozen overnight) looking really cool. It might sound like a lot of work, but TRUST me, it’s worth every second!

Here’s something to give you an idea, check out the first few layers:

RED LAYER

1 frozen banana
1/2 cup greek yogurt, vanilla or plain
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
water or liquid for blending

ORANGE LAYER

1 frozen banana
1/2 cup greek yogurt, vanilla or plain
1/2 cup frozen peaches
1 small orange
1/4 cup frozen mango
water or liquid for blending

YELLOW LAYER

2 frozen bananas
1/2 cup greek yogurt, vanilla or plain
1 cup frozen pineapple
water or liquid for blending

Then you basically turn each layer into a smoothie, which could also be enjoyed on their own. So I guess you could make your popsicles using each layer, or just a selection of the ones you like, or even just forget about the pops themselves and make delicious smoothies for everyone. Think about that for a second. This ONE recipe for popsicles is also SEVEN great smoothie recipes! That’s AWESOME! Do whatever you want!

Look for the molds that have a stick in them (look at to end of the page and order 4 of these #4 molds); I would get 4 of those molds; that would give you 40 in total. Read the directions carefully and you will be on your way to making these cool pops!!!!

I want to thank Beth from The First Year for making the outrageous pops! Be sure to head over to The First Year now to get the full instructions. Enjoy!
