I’ve been on the search for new recipes using pecans lately and I think I found another good one! This is a recipe for Fabulous Fudge Bars that are so gooey and chocolatey that you will fall HARD for these!
There are three layers to these bars, starting with a great tasting old-fashioned oatmeal layer on bottom and the top. Then the middle mixture of sweetened condensed milk, chocolate, vanilla, butter, and pecans which is undeniably delicious.
The first time my daughter and I made these bars, it was for a party we were going to and they were the fastest cookies to go. We ended up making a second batch for home because we craved them after that. I suggest you may want to double the recipe if you’re making them for an occasion so you can have leftovers.
Here’s what you need:
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
4 cups old-fashioned oatmeal
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
Filling
3 Tablespoons butter
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla
