There is nothing better in the summer than grilling up the perfect burger.  All summer long my family has tried a lot of different varieties and this recipe is one that is on top of my list.  This recipe uses buffalo meat (yes, you read that right!), though if it’s not available to you, you could use regular beef. If you have never tried a buffalo burger, let me tell you, it puts regular ground beef to shame! It really is THAT good!

Now, I have used both and the bison does cook faster and is a little more delicate, so I use foil on the grill to make them perfect.  There are a lot of different ingredients that add to the taste of this finished burger, it is really a treat for your tongue!  Give it a try some night and let me know what your family thinks.  I think it will be a new family favorite for you, it is in my home!

1 lb ground buffalo meat
2 teaspoons taco seasoning
1⁄3 cup salsa
1⁄4 cup guacamole
1⁄4 cup sour cream
3 slices jalapeno jack cheese
canned green chili
lettuce, shredded
1 tomatoes, diced
French fried onion rings
3 buns
