These Cappuccino Crunch Bars are really good! One thing I make sure that I do…. is use INSTANT DECAF COFFEE…this way it will ease up on the “Coffee High”. These bars come out looking like a brownie but they definitely aren’t…with the coffee mixture and orange peel they have a taste all their own. After you mix them up you, stir in white chocolate chips and toffee bits for the crunch. I would start checking them around 23 minutes (every oven cooks differently). You don’t want them done too much, so check them early. Thanks to Noble Pig for this recipe that just might become the “NEW BROWNIE”.
Here is what you’ll need to make Cappuccino Crunch Bars:
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup butter, room temperature
1-1/2 cups light brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons instant coffee granules or espresso powder, dissolved in 1 Tablespoon hot water and cooled to room temperature
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup toffee baking bits
