Sandwiches are definitely one of my favorite foods, so I’m always looking for new recipes. This is a recipe for a Cuban sandwich that uses pot roast, Swiss cheese, kale, plantain, and many more delicious ingredients. It’s such a flavorful sandwich that it’s hard to stop at just eating one!
This recipe shows how to make your own pickles and you even fry your own plantain, which was a first for me. It really is a fantastic step-by-step guide for the construction of this irresistible meal. I know you will love this sandwich. It’s not a quick meal, however. It takes time to prepare, but it’s really fun to pull everything together and the end product is so delightful.
Also, you can cut out some steps if don’t want do, for instance making your own pickles, you can just buy them if you like. Either way works just fine. That step in particular, tho, is something that I find fascinating and, if you have never done it before, might be worth attempting just this once, for this recipe or otherwise. These Cuban sandwiches with black plantain and kale salad will delight everyone that tries them. Give them a try and let me know what you think!
