This recipe was on Annette’s Sweet Treats and it’s for “Guy Like It” Barbecued Beef. When asked where the name comes from, the recipes creator, Michele Pallas had this to say:
This recipe got its name from my grandmother Jo. She wrote it down on an index card and included it in a recipe book my mother gave me when I got married. She wrote on top, “GUY LIKE IT,” and we have called it that ever since
And that’s all there is to it! You make it with less expensive steak, thinly sliced, and then you put into a slow cooker. You then take the entire ingredient list and POUR it over the steak…and cook it 4-6 hours. Serve it with a salad and vegetable (like corn), and your meal is done! Thanks to Michele Pallas for sharing the delicious recipe with us and to Annette’s Sweet Treats for posting it.
Here is what you’ll need to make “Guys Like It” Barbecued Beef:
1 ½ lbs. beef (any kind of less expensive steak like round works), thinly sliced
1 onion, sliced
1 clove garlic or ¼ tsp. minced garlic
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1/3 cup ketchup
2 Tbsp. molasses
1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp. REGULAR MUSTARD POWDER
½ tsp. medium “HOT” chili powder
This recipe isn’t JUST for “guys” obviously. I mean, who doesn’t like BBQ? Never tried steak in a slow cooker before, so that should be interesting. for the full instructions, head over to Annette’s Sweet Treats now. Enjoy!
